PSI Mines&Roads GmbH as part of the PSI Group implemented successfully the software system PSIroads/MDS for the "Advanced distributed traffic network management" for the CHARM-PCP project of Highways England and Rijkswaterstaat.
PSIroads/MDS implements a fuzzy logic based decision support solution for operators in Traffic Management Centres (TMC's) by using a multi-layer decision support model designed in the presented feasibility study. The solution has been compiled on base of PSI's smart SCADA platform PSIjscada with the embedded decision engine based on the Qualicision technology by PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme GmbH, a member of of PSI Group.
In the third and final phase of the R&D project the module has been integrated into a TMC and the decision modell has been extended to larger regions in the Neatherlands and UK.
