Who are you and what are you doing at PSI?
„My career at PSI began as a working student 25 years ago during my computer science studies. Over the years I have developed software, managed projects and then for a long time managed a part of product development. Currently I am Sales Director of a division of PSI Metals and head a small area of sales staff."

„The variety. PSI offered me many career opportunities in the recent years, so that I could find the optimal job for me within the company, depending on my life situation. In this way, career and family can be brought halfway under one roof. I also value our sense of community and collegiality, which is not always a matter of course."

„What is needed are flexible all-rounders with a technical background who are willing to speak the language of the customer. This means that the ability to recognize, understand and implement customer needs is an absolute must in project management and sales."

„In a nutshell: a permanent further development. In addition to stays abroad at locations worldwide, there are numerous further training opportunities or special training programs for newcomers. What advice do you give to potential new employees?
„It is important that you remain true to yourself and face new challenges. If you keep an eye on your goal and stay on the ball non-stop, all doors are open at PSI."
Who are you and what are you doing at PSI?
„I have been a consultant in the Automotive Division since 2017. Just like the sales department, I work in the field and maintain close contact with our customers. I virtually create the link between the real processes and the digital processes of our ERP system."
What do you particularly like about the company?
„At PSI you are on an equal footing with the employer. There are flat hierarchies and above all a friendly cooperation. In addition, there are no core working hours, so that a work-life balance is possible."
Which skills are particularly in demand in your field of work?
„In my area I communicate and correspond a lot with customers. I would therefore say that what is needed above all is a certain degree of social competence and sensitivity. A good technical grasp is also important, since complex production processes often have to be traced within a limited time and optimization proposals have to be provided."

„Be authentic and don’t pretend! If you want to come to the office with a Scottish skirt or barefoot, you can do it. In my experience, there is no need to worry about not being accepted at PSI."
Who are you and what are you doing at PSI?
„My name is Johannes, I am 34 years old and I have been working at PSI for more than seven years. Currently I am working in the field of Framework Development and Mobile Application."

„Open structures and a wide range of tasks. PSI offers a broad spectrum of software development - from the framework development, in which we count every bit, to project development, in which we look for the optimal solution together with the customer."

„Creativity. I think software development is an incredibly creative process. It includes a large spectrum of tasks: identifying problems, finding abstractions and programming the most beautiful and elegant solution possible. For this you need a lot of creativity, the ability to think abstractly and a good vision."

Who are you and what are you doing at PSI?
„I started working for PSI 20 years ago right after studying computer engineering. First I worked in the printing industry and later in the chemical industry. After that I spent much of my time in logistics and now I am working in the steel industry. Since 2007 I have been project manager who supports the customer from the initial requirements through the concept phase to the actual implementation and commissioning."
What do you particularly like about the company?
„I love to see things move. When your own software controls a complete high-bay warehouse and stores and removes pallets there, as well as assembles deliveries for trucks, , then this is an enormously satisfying feeling. Exactly this direct connection to technology also strengthens the variety in my job."
Which skills are particularly in demand in your field of work?
„In order to guarantee our customers a smooth process flow, we are in close contact with them. Communication skills, quick comprehension and organizational talent are particularly important here. Teamwork is also required."

„Try to understand the customer technology. The understanding of the complex processes and relationships as well as the subsequent implementation of these by our software are very interesting."

„I'm a mathematics graduate of the TU Berlin and have been working in a project team at PSI for a year. I program extensions of our standard product to best meet the needs of the customer. Software development remains exciting because each project brings with it new challenges and requirements."

„I like the open corporate culture, the positive and collegial working atmosphere and the good working conditions."

Who are you and what are you doing at PSI?
„I’m studying computer science at Humboldt University. Since 2017 I have been working as a student trainee at PSI in the field of framework development. Currently I am working on the optimization of our latest developments."
What do you particularly like about the company?
„I particularly like the relaxed working atmosphere in the company. The colleagues are nice and easygoing and there is no pressure to perform. The working hours are also super flexible, so that I can combine university and work perfectly."

„As a computer scientist with the necessary knowledge, you've already got a good hand. Apart from that, good analytical skills and a quick grasp are advantageous."
