Dofasco will receive a fully integrated solution for the entire process from the management level to production. The new production management system includes the functional areas Production Execution System (PES) and Advanced Line Sequencing (ALS) of the PSImetals vertical industry solution.
The scope of the new system covers hot band inventory to final finishing operations in order to simplify the business processes and will replace a large component of the legacy manufacturing systems.
Start of operations for the solution is scheduled for the first half of 2010.
