PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme GmbH together with PSI Mines&Roads GmbH (today also PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme GmbH) - both parts of the PSI Group - successfully completed the software system PSIroads/MDS for the "Advanced distributed traffic network management" within the CHARM-PCP project of Highways England and Rijkswaterstaat.
PSIroads/MDS implements a fuzzy-logic based solution for decision support of traffic managers in traffic control centers. For this purpose, a model for cooperative decision support was designed in a study. For the implementation in phase 2, parts of PSI's own Smart SCADA platform PSIjscada and the decision support technology Qualicision were used.
In the third and final phase of the R&D project the module has been integrated into a TMC and the decision model has been extended to larger regions in the Neatherlands and UK.
